Coping With Post-Partem Depression

Patients have to work with doctors and therapists to figure out the right therapeutic strategy for depression.

When I was first hit with post partum depression after our second child, I was on a high powered hunt to alleviate the symptoms. There was no way I could cope with not coping. Three more children and three more bouts of PPD had me convinced I'd probably never go off prozac - and the medical advice I got confirmed it. I could have been a salesperson for antidepressants, so strong was my conviction in their value...Antidepressants kept the demon of not coping away...
