To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
How good sleep
can help bipolar disorder.
Ah, sleep. A good’s night sleep, for those of us fortunate enough to get it, is usually taken for granted and arguably a rather boring subject to think about. However, for those of us struggling with depression, bipolar or anxiety disorders, a good night's sleep is truly more precious than gold and as I’ve learned from studying psychology, and managing my own depression, extremely important to maintenance of mental health. I wanted to write about sleep because I feel that it is often overlooked in the treatment plan for people wanting to overcome mental illness.
